Victim of the Brain is a 1988 film by Dutch director Piet Hoenderdos about "the ideas of Douglas R. Hofstadter" and is based off the book The Mind's I: fantasies and reflections on self and soul Basic Books, 1985. It interviews an ever-so-young looking Douglas Hofstadter and younger-but-not-quite-young-looking Daniel Dennett. Back when I was in highschool I, in vain, searched a copy of this film. I had given up looking for it, but much to my delight, years later during my undergraduate stay at Indiana University someone stumbled across a copy of the film inside a closest in the Center for Research in Concepts and Cognition . I don't own the copyright to this film, but as I far as I can tell it's an orphaned work and no longer commercially viable. So, with Doug Hofstadter's blessing, I ripped and uploaded it for the Internet to enjoy. If you own the copyright to this film and want it removed, contact me and I'll take it down.
